Irishman David Gillick, an international track and field athlete, specializing in the 400 meters, took a break from training and stopped by Oakley in May. Gillick and a group of top British 400 meter athletes, coached by Nick Dakin, were in Irvine for a few weeks of warm weather training.

Oakley's Walter Dix Brakes Two Track Records At Seminole Twilight
Oakley’s Beijing Summer Games medalist and former Florida State track star Walter Dix broke two track records at the Seminole Twilight at the Mike Long Track on Saturday. Dix ran a blistering 100m time of 9.98 that set a new FSU record and then continued to break records in the 200m as he ran a time of 19.89. Both of Dix’s performances rank second in the world.
